Description
Vieux Chteau Bayard 2021 is a beautiful wine from a vineyard run by women for the past eight generations. Marie-Laure Latorre now oversees the Chteau, bringing experience from several roles in the wine industry. With eight hectares of Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon planted, this wine exhibits brightness and freshness attained through early picking. It has a wonderful tannic structure thanks to 50% ageing in old oak and the balance in concrete tanks. A purple colour, fruity and delicate fragrance and a full, round mouthfeel are all to be expected. It pairs with goat stew and smoked tofu with chunky vegetables. Vieux Chteau Bayard has created a wonderfully delightful and well-crafted wine.
