Description
Thistledown are a collection of vineyard parcels with separate operating wineries. Silken Beastie fruit is grown in low yields in the North West of the Borassa Valley region. Using gentle extraction and and light use of oak, these bold wines are so conscientiously made they are perfectly balanced.
Old vine Shiraz – gorgeous by name, gorgeous by nature! Co-fermented with a small amount of Zibibbo, this has a surprising amount of lighter fleshy fruit aromas, peaches and ripe nectarine mostly, following with a little wild raspberry. On the palate it is silky and smooth with macerated strawberry flavours and hints of black pepper.
