Description
The famous Schlenkerla brew house based in the Franconian City of Bamberg is situated a few hours north of Munich and is famous for smoky beers. The brewhouse make their own malted barley, heated directly from burning beechwood fires, with the malt sucking up the smoke.
This Rauchbier Marzen is deep brown with aromas of caramelized dark fruits and burnt bread crust with a large tan coloured head. The flavour is clean and malty with a rich but dry smoky finish
