Mary Taylor is a wine merchant who focuses on de-mystifying European wines to the wider audience. Through her white label series she has created wines that simply express the area they are from on the label such as Bordeaux Blanc as a way to simplify Old World wine making terms and focus on the terroir being the key aspect of identifying wines. Jean-Marc Barthez is the winemaker behind the Bordeaux blanc and rouge, working the vineyards with his wife and family creating rich and vibrant Bordeaux wines.
This Bordeaux Blanc is made from 95% Sauvignon Blanc with 5% Semillon rounding off the edges. The fruit is sourced from the vineyards that surround the winery and there is no oak used for fermenting or ageing to preserve the fresh, fruity flavours. Zesty and floral with a slice of minerality a real palate cleanser!
