Description
This is the first time a whisky from the Lindores Abbey Distillery has been released for sale via independent retailers like us and we are very happy to have them on our shelves.
Lindores – Lowland Single Malt MCDXCIV is a distinguished expression from Lindores Abbey Distillery, showcasing their dedication to reviving traditional whisky-making techniques. The name “MCDXCIV” is a nod to the year 1494, referencing the earliest recorded mention of whisky in Scotland, which is linked to Lindores Abbeys historical legacy.
This Lowland single malt is crafted with a focus on authenticity and quality, reflecting the distillery’s commitment to producing premium whisky. MCDXCIV undergoes maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks, creating a complex and balanced flavor profile.
The whisky presents a golden amber hue and offers an inviting aroma of ripe orchard fruits, honey, and subtle oak. On the palate, it reveals a rich tapestry of flavors, including notes of fresh apples, vanilla, and a hint of spice, along with a touch of dried fruit from the sherry influence. The finish is smooth and elegant, with lingering notes of malt and a gentle sweetness.
Lindores – Lowland Single Malt MCDXCIV represents a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, honoring the distillerys heritage while delivering a refined and enjoyable whisky experience.
