Description
Six generations of the Felten family have been growing grapes in Lodi focussing on old vine Zinfandel since the 1900s. Zinfandel was one of the original grapes grown in Lodi and it has remained their focus ever since. Originally grown to ship to the East Coast but by the 1930’s the majority were producing wine in Lodi.
Barry Gnekow, who has been making wine for 25 years is the Felten’s head winemaker, produces classic wines of note year after year.
A blend of80% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petite Syrah gives a big, bold wine with sooth tannins and notes of dark cherry, tobacco and licorice.
