Coal Pit are world famous producers of premium wines in Otago, New Zealand. They produce wines with a strong sense of minerality and the practises are in accordance with the Sustainable Winegrowing of New Zealand. It is a single vineyard site also, where the grapes are grown, handpicked and crafted into wine on site.

The Pinot Noir is a complex and extremely well structured wine. It offers aromas of cooking spices and dried herbs straight off the bat, and follows through with an array of flavours – from ripe plum to forest floor, savoury and gamey in equal measure with a light body and long finish.
