Description

In Burgundy, the signature red grape variety is Pinot Noir. It is basically King of the region (Chardonnay is Queen for the whites!) and features in all the classic and famous red wines of the region. However there is another, lesser known grape called Cesar – named after the Roman Emperor that is grown in select parcels of land. It’s used here, in this wine and blended with Pinot Noir to create this fantastic biodynamic wine from Domaine de la Cadette – the Csar brings an element of dense, dark fruit and tannic structure, while the fresh, bright, Pinot Noir provides the aromatics you’d expect from Burgundy.
